Be shepherds of God's flock that is under your care, watching over them—not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not pursuing dishonest gain, but eager to serve; not Lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock.
1 Peter 5:2-3
Elders are called to serve, not master; to care for, not take from; to be a good example, not a stumbling block.
Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.

Humility is another chief virtue, trait and action in the kingdom of God.
Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

We need not fear because the very God off the universe loves us and is watching over us for our good!
Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.
1 Peter 5:8 NIV
We must know that there is also an enemy wanting to destroy us. We must remain alert, but God is watching over us!
