Hebrews 5 - Nathanael

During the days of Jesus' life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with fervent cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission.
Hebrews 5:7
This is such a powerful verse! First we learn more about how Jesus prayed: with fervent cries and tears. Next we see the importance of submission. Powerful!

We have much to say about this, but it is hard to make it clear to you because you no longer try to understand.
Hebrews 5:11
This is such a striking accusation: you no longer try to understand! Wow! Lord, let that not be true of me! Help me to always ask and always seek!

Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness.
Hebrews 5:13 NIV
Advanced teaching is about righteousness! May we all attain to this!
