The Lord God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him."

God made us in his image and God is a relational God: there has always been the Trinity- God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit- and they have always been in a love relationship between them. Therefore it follows that we need to be in relationships: it is not good for us to be alone
So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man's ribs and then closed up the place with flesh. Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man.
Genesis 2:21-22 NIV
God created woman to be the perfect partner and helpmate to be worth man.
