God's goodness in the face of our foolishness
But God came to Abimelek in a dream one night and said to him, "You are as good as dead because of the woman you have taken; she is a married woman."
Genesis 20:3 NIV
The way that Abraham dealt with his wife seems to be quite foolish and selfish- putting her in harms way to protect himself. But what is really striking here is how God still protects Abraham and Sarah. He really is a loving father who helps and protects his children even when they are acting foolishly.
Thank you Father God for your love! Help me to be a father like you!
