Ephesians 2 - Nathanael

Paul lays out some fundamental truths of the good news about Jesus Christ inn this chapter.

All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath. But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.
Ephesians 2:3‭-‬5

We all were enemies of God, wicked and deserving punishment and God's wrath. But because God is merciful and loving he rescued us from this judgement with a free gift based on the death and sacrifice of Jesus.

For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
Ephesians 2:10
Good made each of us with a plan and purpose.

For he himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility,
Ephesians 2:‬14 NIV
Jesus is the source of peace and brings peace between those who once were at war with each other.
