Jesus heard that they had thrown him out, and when he found him, he said, "Do you believe in the Son of Man?" Jesus said, "You have now seen him; in fact, he is the one speaking with you." Then the man said, "Lord, I believe," and he worshiped him.
John 9:35, 37-38
When we hear the term 'son of man' we don't usually understand what it means like this man and others during that time. It is a messianic title as clearly this man understood. As soon as he knew that Jesus was the son of man, he worshipped him!
Jesus said, "If you were blind, you would not be guilty of sin; but now that you claim you can see, your guilt remains.

When we come to God thinking we are OK and that we know what we need to know we receive nothing from him - no forgiveness, no healing, no help, no eternal life. But if we come in true humility, recognizing the depth of our sinfulness and recognizing that we have no hope except through Jesus, then we will be forgiven and set free and receive new life from Jesus!
