Acts 9 and 10 - Jason

Acts 9 is an awesome story about the conversion of Saul. He was on the path to arrest several Christians in Damascus, but Jesus appeared to him and spoke to him saying, "Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?" Saul did not realize until this event that Jesus is the Christ, and he began to preach and prove to others that Jesus is the Christ using the Scriptures. God said that Saul would suffer much for the name of Jesus Christ.

Acts 10 is also an amazing story about how God showed Peter that he should also go to Gentile families to preach the Good News. A man who feared God was named Cornelius and as he prayed he understood that God wanted him to send for Peter and listen to what he would teach them. When they did so and Peter obeyed God, the Holy Spirit fell on everyone who heard the news, and many people were baptized who were not people of Israel, but they were God's people.

Lord, please help me to be open and listening to your words. Please help me to be led by you, and give be courage to do everything that you have for me.
