In this chapter we see Abraham who is the father of faith for all who believe - both the Jew and the gentile.

As it is written: "I have made you a father of many nations." He is our father in the sight of God, in whom he believed—the God who gives life to the dead and calls into being things that were not.
Romans 4:17
Abraham believed and trusted in God. And that is what you and I can do as well!
God us not some empty dream or philosophy, but rather the creator of heaven and earth who can give life to the dead - and that is what he does for us. He is also the one who creates what does not exist. He is the almighty one who is worthy of our faith and trust!

being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised.
Romans 4:21
God's promises are key! God can and always will do what he promised! It isn't a maybe but a certainty. So we should look to God and his promises. We should seek out his promises and hold steadily on to them - both the many promises that God has in his word, and the specific promises that he makes to us.

but also for us, to whom God will credit righteousness—for us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification.
Romans 4:‬24‭-‬25 NIV
Here is one promise!  God will credit righteousness to us who trust in him, the one who raised Jesus from the dead!

Jesus was put to death for our sins - to pay the penalty,  and he wad raised to life so our sins would be remembered no more - that our guilt would be removed and it would be as if we never sinned!
Thank you Jesus!
