John 11 - Jason

Even though Lazarus was a man who was close to Jesus, when he got sick Jesus did not immediately come to help but waited for two days before starting to go where he was. He had been dead for four days by the time that Jesus arrived, but this was not an emergency in Jesus' mind because he knew that God would raise him from the dead. When Lazarus came back to life this was not a resurrection like Jesus rising from the dead to eternal life. This was more of a resuscitation--Lazarus still grew old and died again someday. Jesus was the first and only person to rise again from the dead forever, but we all look forward to that day just like when Martha was saying that she believed Lazarus will rise again on that final day. Lord, please increase my faith, and help me to see what your will is in different situations. Please speak to me and guide me in your ways, and help me to trust that nothing is too difficult for you.
