2 Corinthians 2 - Nathanael

For we are to God the pleasing aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing. To the one we are an aroma that brings death; to the other, an aroma that brings life. And who is equal to such a task?
2 Corinthians 2:15‭-‬16
Being the fragrance of Christ is no small honor, but who is up to it? Certainly Christ is far beyond us in every respect: in righteousness, in love, in service and honor. In fact, we don't even measure in comparison - we are nothing! But God had called us, changed us, redeemed us and justified us. Not that we deserve it, but because he loves us! Praise be to God for his wonderful gift!

Unlike so many, we do not peddle the word of God for profit. On the contrary, in Christ we speak before God with sincerity, as those sent from God.
2 Corinthians 2:17 NIV
Seeking to get rich from God's word is a common thing today just as it wad in Paul's day. God calls us to serve, not be served, to give and not to take, to live freely and without reward because that is what he did. When God is our all in all, we need nothing else.
