When Jesus healed the man with the shriveled hand (v6-10), the Pharisees and the teachers of the law were furious about Jesus' behavior (v11). They obeyed the rules, but they didn't show compassion on the man who needed healing, which is not God's will for God is love. Jesus warns me not to harden my heart in order to obey the laws and rules. I believe if we really want to help others with love, God will provides wisdom and solutions for us. Obeying the laws and rules is good, but not the purpose of a believer's life.
