I'm not sure how Jesus was tempted with the different things that the Devil was trying to get him to do, but I understand that when he had fasted for 40 days and 40 nights, he was hungry. The Devil tried to get him to eat something before the fasting was ended. Jesus uses Scripture to refute the temptations of the Devil. He said "man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God." I want to live each day by the word that comes from God's mouth. I want to hear his words and be led by him on a daily basis.
